Ecoeye Holds Initial Meeting with Key Stakeholders in Vietnam on Refrigerant Recovery and Carbon Credit Initiatives |
---|
Ecoeye recently held an initial
consultation meeting with key agencies and experts in Vietnam,
including the Department of Mitigation and Ozone Layer Management under the
Department of Climate Change (DCC), leading scientists from Hanoi University of
Science and Technology specializing in refrigeration technology, and VNEEC(Vietnam
Energy Efficiency and Conservation), a major organization in emission reduction
project implementation.
The meeting focused on exchanging
views on the potential for refrigerant recovery and recycling in
Vietnam through carbon credit mechanisms. This marks the first
step in a series of planned activities, including gathering expert
feedback, developing methodologies, refining project plans, and building
partnerships with local stakeholders. Both sides agreed to maintain
close communication and cooperation, and committed to jointly
implementing upcoming official activities to ensure the projects contribute
to economic development and Vietnam’s NDC targets.
The Vietnamese government
continues to recognize the value of refrigerant recovery, recycling
technologies, emission reduction solutions, and circular economy initiatives,
and remains open and supportive of partnerships with international
firms like Ecoeye. Ecoeye reaffirmed its commitment to actively support and coordinate with the Vietnamese government in developing the carbon market and contributing to the country’s green transition and sustainable development.
